How to Use the Law of Attraction – 4 Ways to Manifest Intention

I have wanted to study and spread my knowledge of meditation for a long time but it is only recently that I have truly begun to set my intention into manifesting that desire. With a clear intention and firm concentration, results have come quickly and unexpectedly. Approximately four days ago, I accidentally stumbled onto an article in the Washington Post about meditation and discovered that there is a company teaching meditation in corporate environments. Day by day, more emails, contacts, and networking opportunities open up and all of this is possible because of the law of attraction and the manifestation of my intention.

Recently, a movie titled The Secret explored consciousness research, the nature of reality, and the law of attraction. While I think that the movie did a fantastic job popularizing this notion and bringing it into the popular media’s awareness, there is much that was left out. The law of attraction, “says people’s thoughts (both conscious and unconscious) dictate the reality of their lives, whether or not they’re aware of it. Essentially “if you really want something and truly believe it’s possible, you’ll get it”, but putting a lot of attention and thought onto something you don’t want means you’ll probably get that too. “

Unlike the law of gravity, this law is subjective and its effectiveness is determined by several factors. The focus, concentration, clarity of the goal, ability to achieve the optimal state, and ability to let go will greatly affect the results of the manifestation of intent. I like to think of the law of attraction as a process that we all use, every day, some have greater conscious control over their abilities to manifest and others wield their power unconsciously. Here are the four basic steps that will ensure great success, self-awareness, and effectiveness in manifesting your intention:

1. Set Intention: First, a focused intention must be determined, without knowing what you want, it is difficult to get it. While this may see obvious, many people have a general idea of what they want but are unable to get a clear and concrete image in their minds. At this stage, it can be helpful to write out or list your intention. For some it is easier to create a story, draw a picture, make a song, or dance. The method does not matter as long as the intention becomes clearly defined and focused.

2. Optimal State: Second step in the process is to get into the optimal state – a relaxed body, clear and focused mind are necessary to have best results. There are many techniques, some of which are listed in the techniques section of this website, for achieving this and it is important to be aware of what works for you.

The Universal Law of Attraction – Turning Up the Volume

Can the universal law of attraction be made to work even more powerfully for us? If communicating our desires is sending thought energy into the universe, can we turn up the volume?

We know that we must clearly formulate our desires and that we have to communicate them to the universe. We understand that our thought energy will be increased and returned to us in the form of a manifestation of our desires. Powerful as positive thought is, contrary to what some people may believe, positive thought alone is not enough to turn your desires into your reality. You must believe that you will receive that which you have asked for.

To achieve success with the universal law of attraction, you must strengthen your faith by living in the future. By that I mean using your imagination to visualize already having the thing you desire. When you do that you must also attach strong positive emotions to having what you asked for. Positive emotions reinforce your faith that you will receive what you asked for and strengthen your desires.

As you vividly imagine already having received the thing you asked for be thankful for it. Endow your gratitude with strong positive emotions. In this way you will reinforce the positive energy you are sending out. In turn, that positive energy will be returned to you greatly amplified.

By harnessing the power of positive emotions when we visualize already having what asked for and when we express our gratitude to the universe for that which we have yet to receive we can “turn up the volume” on the universal law of attraction.

Buying or Selling a Business: Important Tips to Consider Before Making a Decision

When you want to buy or sell a business, it is important that you understand how the market works for small-sized and medium-sized businesses. The market is always on the move and rapidly changing. So if you want to make the right business decisions you need to apply the right business principles. Firstly, here are important tips that you should consider when you want to sell your business or place it on the market.

Prepare for a Sale

You have to be sure that you want to sell your business. Once you have crossed that road, you need to take out time to sort out the things that would guarantee a successful sale. If your house is not in order or your commitment falls short during negotiations, you shorten your chances of a successful sale.

So it is important that you hold off any bids until you have made adequate preparations to portray your business in the best possible light. And this includes, updating your financial records or statements and putting material together to uphold claims about the nature or success of your business.

Call the Experts

Selling a business is not a Do-It-Yourself thing; you require help from the experts or those that have done this thing before. It is important that you assemble a team of people who can help you. The accountant or tax adviser should be the one sorting out your financial statements or any other information that potential buyers might want to see. A competent business broker will tell you how much you should sell your business for, put together a sales prospectus and set the terms of sale. An attorney comes in when all this has been done, irons out any clauses and ensures that both parties sign their agreements.

Alternatively, if you want to buy a business, these are some things that you should consider to help you mount a successful takeover.

Drive a Hard Bargain

Figuring out the cost of a business can pose a problem if not clarified properly. Sometimes, seller wants to be paid based on a previously profitable history while the buyer feels that payment should be a reflection of present performance. Ensure that you drive a tough bargain and only pay for a business with profit potential. Remember that you still need to spend to align the business with current business trends and the social climate.

How to Grow a Business in the Hospitality Industry

Warren Buffet said “If you can’t read the scoreboard, you don’t know the score. If you don’t know the score, you can’t tell the winners from the losers.”

This is so true, but in my experience as a hospitality business consultant, very few small businesses that I come across measure their progress, and often those that do, don’t analyse their numbers in any way or use them to help when it comes to making decisions.

To assist with your business strategy and business development, you should be measuring the ‘health’ of your business in 3 different areas – finance, customer and team.

In other words, how is your business performing in each of these areas? e.g.

Is your business profitable?
How does performance compare against last year?
What do your customers think about the service you are providing?
Is it what they want?
How engaged are your team?
How is your retention of staff?

If you are tracking numbers, which numbers are you tracking? Are you measuring both KPI’s (key performance indicators) as well as critical drivers? When it comes to growing businesses, the key here is to recognise the difference between these two things.

KPI’s are telling you what has gone before, or in other words how effective your activities have been. Critical drivers tell you where you are heading.

Let me put this into the context of my business – my P&L (profit and loss) will show me what my sales, expense and profit were for any given period. Critical drivers for my business are the number of consultations I have booked at any one time, the number of 121 meetings I have booked as a result of networking and the number of talks I have booked in that I am preparing to give.

Critical drivers are the activities or things that should be in place that bring in extra sales. In the hospitality business these might be things such as number of joint ventures with neighbouring businesses, number of networking events held in your venue, and retention of staff.

Identifying the Best Online Business Opportunity for You

While there are so many online business opportunities available today, most aspirant internet business owners find the many choices a bit overwhelming and confusing for them. Also, even though the online platform of operating businesses is highly rewarding, there are so many scams that make people a lot more fearful of earning a living working online. As such, identifying a potential online opportunity becomes a difficult task in its own right. However with proper guidance you can still be a guru in this arena and pursue one of the most successful business opportunities.

First, it is essential that you review yourself by taking a personal analysis that will help you identify your current position and what you want to achieve by starting an online business. Also, you will want to have an idea of which business opportunities you can engage in which should be done by analyzing each one of them critically. And finally, it is essential you come up with strategies and techniques of making the business a profitable and successful online enterprise. While these are some easy things to do, it can be hard for you if you take a wrong approach of tackling them.

Online businesses have varying levels of challenges and it is essential to ensure that you are capable of managing your preferred business at ease. For this reason, it is essential to consider your level of experience and knowledge before taking up any of these opportunities. In case you are just starting out in this field, it is a good idea to search for a business that you can access continuous guidance and training until you have fully mastered and grasped the concept of handling such a business online.

It is also essential that you have a mentor to offer you the much needed guidance in this field of business especially for beginners. Before you venture in any online business opportunity, get to know how much amount of time you are willing to spare for the business especially if you intend to be working on it part time. Actually, one of the major causes of unsuccessful online businesses is failure to avail sufficient time to the business and some people tend to think that two hours are enough to make them walk to the banks smiling the next day. Essentially, it is important that you evaluate the kind of commitment your chosen online business needs and then adjust yourself accordingly to meet and satisfy its demands.

Lastly, once you have identified an online business opportunity that fits you, search for information on how you are going to market it to make the business more competitive and boost your income.

Traditional, Non-Web Based Businesses: How Education-Based Marketing Is Relevant to Your Business

When I talk to the owners of small and medium sized businesses about their marketing, I often raise the topic of engaging prospects with useful information.

There are many objections raised to this “education-based marketing” by the owners of traditional businesses. Objections like:

“If I tell them how to do it then why would they hire me?”
“What’s to stop them going to the competition after I’ve gone to all the effort to educate them?”
“I hate writing”
“It wouldn’t work in my business – people just want the cheapest price”
Let me give you an example to show you why you shouldn’t allow these objections to stop you using education based marketing in your business.

I was recently looking for a compact camera as a gift. I had looked at at the ranges and offers available at some of the big electronics chains. I found the range of choice bewildering and so I decided to buy the cheapest model I could find with a minimum level of specification I thought was appropriate.

At this point I walked into a small independent retailer and asked for help. The manager asked me what I was looking for, what the camera would be used for, showed me a few options that matched and provided useful information about each one. I asked about a couple of models I had seen in the larger retailers and the manager explained why these weren’t appropriate (one had known reliability issues, another was last year’s model and would have been sat around in a warehouse for a while, which doesn’t do them any good, apparently).

I walked in looking for a cheap, low-end camera. Talk about the definition of a price shopper! But I ended up walking out with a camera £20 over my budget and extremely happy that I had chosen the right one.

What had that shop owner done? She had educated me. She had found out what I needed and educated me on the best way to meet those needs. She was generous with her knowledge so when she offered me a choice of models, I trusted her judgement. She helped me to choose the right model and the sale was made.

Now imagine if they had done this in their marketing instead of waiting until I walked into their shop. Which I may never have done! If their website presented useful information about buying a compact camera then I would already know about their expertise and trust them to help before I walked in, bypassing the chain-stores. What’s more, getting this information onto the web increases the chances I will find them amongst all the internet noise.

The Successful Online Entrepreneur – Steps to Upgrade Your Internet Business

It’s an inevitable fact that small businesses have to deal with more challenges to stay afloat everyday compared with bigger, more stable businesses. However, it is also a fact that most small businesses may seem low cost and low maintenance which means low sales — but many of them are starting to reap sales like mushrooms sprouting out of nowhere — which is a dream come true. It doesn’t even matter if it’s small anymore — if you know how to finance and maintain it, then you’re absolutely on the right track.

However, it’s pretty sad to know that many beginners would think that all they will ever need is an idea and then couple it determination. That’s a start but we all know there’s so much more than that. Here are some basic steps on how to start or upgrade your small business.

Research your market. Find out if you can keep your business alive with your current capital. Know your competition and how to narrow it. Keep up with the pace.

Update your products and services. Know your competition and how you can keep up — or better yet, do more. Always do an upgrade of your products and services — review marketing strategies and determine which ones work and which ones need more work. You will absolutely notice the difference.

Give your customers a lot of options. If your business involves the adult industry, infomercials, pharmaceutical industry, tobacco, replica or the like, you will need to get a high risk merchant account sooner or later. Aside from giving your customers an option to pay with their credit cards, you also protect your business from frauds and other online frauds that can slow your business down. There are already competitive merchant accounts providers online who can give you the services that you want so you might want to check and access their websites soon.

Starting a small business may mean more preparation that you expect. But it always pays to be prepared than sorry. It takes more than just a capital and soaring vision to make it work — you need to know how to make it work.

Business Networking For Entrepreneurs – 7 Tips For Success

Is there anyone else out there who can relate to this scenario? You arrive a little later than you anticipated for the networking event. If you are brave you to start to mingle with some of the other “suspects”. You may even be unlucky enough to meet the groups life coach, who typically is a bored housewife fully equipped with her business cards and her two day diploma. She barely keeps eye contact with you as she is already on the lookout for her next victim to pounce on, she assures you that she has had a wonderful conversation with you and insists on exchanging business cards….aaarrrrggghhhhhhhhhh. Deep breath, it was only a nightmare!

But seriously though, I used to attend all sorts of business events where networking was high on the list of priorities and there would be these types of characters and more besides that would make my skin crawl.

Now however I have changed myself and practice some simple rules to maintain my sanity and have a safer car journey home:

1) Have fun – the most important rule for me

2) Use the “pay it forward” networking principle – taken from the film of the same name, I come to events never to get business but to see who I can help today

3) Choose wisely the events I attend – my time is precious and I don’t attend breakfast events that some of the big business networking organisations provide where the local mechanic and decorator get all the referrals, for my type of business that’s a complete waste of time

4) Only ask for business cards from people I can genuinely help

5) Throw away business cards I didn’t ask for

6) Only give my card to people who ask for it

7) Have fun – yeah I know I said that earlier but hey it’s important

I hope this helps you to get more out of networking. Happy networking.

Internet Entrepreneur – How to Buy Domains For an Income

When it comes to buying domains, everything starts with the purchasing phase-the construction of the initial portfolio. There are many different ways to do it. Below, we’ll consider four different ways:

1. Buy domains from the primary market in bulk. Many domain registrars will allow you to do this at a discount. You may be able to reduce the price by 30-40% by doing this. However, you may need to buy anywhere between 50 and 100 names.

2. Buy part of a portfolio from an existing domainer. In many cases, domainers will need to liquidate large parts of their portfolios in short periods of time, even if they are doing well. You should pay attention to these firesales, as domains are often sold in bulk below market price.

3. Buy domains after they “drop.” This generally occurs after a long-time owner of a site goes out of business or decides that it is no longer worth it to keep the site. When the business does not re-register, the domain will “drop” and become visible as an available domain.

4. Look for leads on domain name forums. On it is common to discuss domain name sales and purchasing strategies. Look for tips about big, new sales; and use them to start your portfolio.

In addition to these four strategies for starting your portfolio, there are dozens of others.
